I haven't contacted them myself (yet) I have left that to the yard that carried out the original application. CC's response was that it either wasn't applied correctly or that it must have been due to solvents leeching out of the primer. As I've stated I discount the former and when considering the latter the SeaJet epoxy primer was applied in the summer of 2006 so this seems unlikely.
We have been advised by both the yard where we keep her (West Coast of Scotland) and the one (on the South Coast) that applied it that it all needs to be removed and re-applied.
CC have indicated that they might supply the materials at a notional charge but the expensive bit is the removal and prep. Given that we don't know what caused this we are extremely reluctant to go the CC route again. Subject to us relocating the boat to the south coast the yard are going to 'put it right'. However they have made it clear that should it fail again we are on our own. You can appreciate our reluctance to expose ourselves to this possibility.

What a confounded nuisance.  Can't think of anything else other than that Coppercoat are worth consulting personally.

Can we ask if the ultra sound antifoul has worked. Are you at a point to recommend which is the preferred method, If ultra sound is used do you still use an antifoul.

would be keen to know

I’m afraid the thing has been a bit of a disaster, I installed the ultrasound unit in March 12, and in May, lifted out to strip and Copercoat, this achieved went back into the water. All was well until mid-August when the unit started blowing fuses. I have been unable to locate a solution for this so the unit. It was purchased from Jaycar in Australia and built be me, a complete electronic novice. We have some evidence that the 3 month ultrasound did have an effect as Charlotte is cleaner than a friends boat treated with Copercoat only and launched the same day. A couple of club members have  installed ultra sound (the expensive one) and just lest the previous year anti foul on were very happy with the results over a six month season.
