I am planning to cruise Charlotte to the Scottish west coast this year We expect to leave Sunderland 23rd June and be in Inverness by 28th. Once through the canal amongst others visit Oban, Tobamoray Castle bay. Up through the Minch to Stornaway, Stromness and back down the east coast. I would love to meet up with any other members on the way

If you can get down to Oban by 4th July you could take part in the Contessa 32 National Championships (and ceilidh) by entering the Round Mull Race. You will certainly meet other Contessas there, get to view Staffa and Iona and catch a dose of culture! http://www.obansailingclub.org/#/round-mull-race/4566735366
Any questions - just ask.

I will be around the area but will be unable to partake in the race I need to be in Oban on the 6th for a crew change. I also will be a long way from being in racing trim. would hope to meet up though

Racing trim?  What a strange concept!  Self sufficiency for at least 2 weeks is the norm up here.  There is a pre-race party at the Oban Sailing Club on the evening of the 4th where al the entrants will be found.  So far we have 4 firm CO32s and a couple more likelies entered.  Put your crew change off until the Sunday and join in.
