I liked the cockpit cover as fitted to Calypso.  Does anyone know anything about it;  who made it,  whether it's easy to fit/dismantle,  how well it works,  costs?

Looks as if it'll be the ideal addition to a cruising Contessa for a summer like this one seems to be turning into!

Any pictures?  Is this a tent or teneau(sp)?

I've only one photo and it's pretty bad!  Wonder if anyone else has one.

It's a frame tent style with two hoop frames.

I have a normal tent which works well but is open at the sides.  I lash it to the back stay and run a line around the mast.  Maybe we need to compare measurements of various tents.

Ah.

CJ Marine do some similar things - although I do not think JRogers uses them;

I think JR works always with Sanders sails in Lymingthon.

I am pretty sure that Calypso has a cockpit cover by Sanders, I agree it is very nice and Sanders a great to deal with.

Also worth getting a quite from TecSew in Gosport who are excellent, all my canvas-work was done by them + my folks had a cockpit enclosure from them for their Rustler 36.

Hope this helps

There is a new British product called a "Habitent" that is worth a look. Under £400, three standard sizes to fit most yachts. A Contessa 32 is just on the boundary between the smallest and middle sizes. (I get no commission!)

Hungry Tiger has a very spacious totally enclosed cockpit. The Owners might post a picture on the Class Facebook page if we ask nicely!
