i have the original roller reefing boom on Ella. Unfortunately the bit on the end is stuck fast and doesn't turn like it should do and it looks like an expensive job to get it taken apart and freed up.  Does anyone have a spare boom for sale or tips on how to free up the current one?
Many thanks
Anna

Anna having just put a 'post' on the Forum I see you have the original roller reefing boom. May I suggest you contact John McCann of Cosantes (details should be on the Website) John retained the roller boom when he replaced it in the last few years & I am sure he will know the mechanics.

Hello,
I replaced my (functioning(=) roller boom with a slightly used Selden boom about 1 year ago,
The work was done by Holman Rigging in Chichester Marina, The old boom hung around for many months and it may still be there. Why don't you contact them and see if they still have it. You can have anything off it (or the whole lot if you want) as far as I'm concerned.
My boat is TANTRIS - they'll recognise the name. Good luck
