Great, Thank you for getting in touch. I simply wanted to find out more about your preparations for the race and whether these were sufficient for your experience? Also, was wondering what the total cost of such a venture might be and how much work is involved (and for how long beforehand). How long is a piece of string I hear you cry!

I am pondering entering the next AZAB and my 32 may not need too much done to it (he said gloriously unaware!). The key things I seem to think are important are rig (will need to replace), self steer (already have monitor windvane), power / charging, water, satcomms (apart from the multitiude of other things no doubt). I am also interested in what worked for you and what didnt.

On other matters I wonder what your experience during the race (and on reflection after) were, about routing, weather, things you should have taken / done, things that were a waste of time / money etc.

Perhaps others have (suitable !) advice to offer?
Berneray.
